Helena, Montana. We breed, raise and train a small number of
performance-bred horses each year. Our goal is to develop well-rounded
athletic horses with cow sense and good minds.
Our mares and foals are out of some of the best bloodlines in
the reining, cutting and cowhorse worlds including; Color Me
Smart, Colonel Freckles, Cutter Bill, Shining Spark, Smart Chic

Bar K2 Ranch is owned and operated by Brian Knutson and his border collie Rex. The ranch is located in Baytree Alberta with pasturing there and just out of Dawson Creek, B.C.
Bar K2 Ranch stands "Lokota Chic." He is trained by Wayne and shown by Amanda Antifaev.
The broodmare facility is located 28.5 kms east of Nisku Alberta and managed and operated by Myrtle Nickel. The mares are winter and foaled out there. Myrtle ensures that these horses have everything they need to be as healthy as possible.

Bear Stump Ranch is a small broodmare facility in Central Indiana. We breed reining and reined cowhorse prospects via A/I and shipped semen. Although future plans include standing a stallion, at present, we don't; however, that gives us the option of breeding our mares to some of the top reining stallions in the industry today. At present, we have a daughter of Havertys' Mark This Spot in training with our partner, Corey Wilson, of Wilson Performance Horses, in LaPorte, Indiana. We have two very nice youngsters ready to begin training with Corey Spring of 2010: one a Gunner granddaughter, and a daughter of Master Snapper; and the other a colt by Sailing Smart. One of our mares, a money-earning granddaughter of Smart Chic Olena with Topsail Cody on her papers, is in foal to Master Snapper. Another mare, an own daughter of Smart Chic Olena with Mr Gunsmoke on her papers, is in foal to Ted Robinson's fine stallion, Nu Circle N Cash. Two other mares are contracted for breedings with Rowdy Yankee and Night Deposit Chex. We're very small, but our standards are extremely high, and we're very fortunate to be partnered with the Wilsons as Team 1 Performance Horses. Our prospects are nominated to the NRBC and the NRHA Derby, so we have a lot of potential for meeting our customers' needs. Visitors are always welcome! |
